Chris Maslin
Final Major Project
June update 3

The website was the last thing I have been working on for this project as I had designed the structure and rough template about 4 weeks ago but until I had high res images of the sneaker I could not complete the website demo. I found it interesting that my website design change dramatically in the last week and I found I had kept very little from my original design that I had done in late April. I really wanted a minimalist design that would really show off the product to the customer/client. I also tried to keep drop down menus and text to a minimum as these really detach the customer from what they are designing if all they do is pick a colour and it automatically changes for them. If the customer has to drag the colour on themselves it feels a bit more personal and calculated. I don't fell 100% happy with my website demo as there area few glitches and bugs that I didn't have time to iron out but that can easily be done before the show.

June update 2

The photo shoot went to plan and I got the shots that I need for the website demo and potential adverts. I didn't go for anything to complicated as I wanted the product to be shot with a really simple white background and spot light on the product. This gave me high resolution pictures that I could then manipulate in photoshop.

The sample sneakers are now 100% complete and are ready for the final photo shoot. The packaging graphics have now been printed and applied to the aluminum case which has now had a coat of matt white paint.
